6 speed throws

'06 MCS
Especially when cold, getting the gearshift into any gear can be a *&@!! Once the car is warmed up, the throws seem fine, although a little clunkier at times than I would like. Is this normal or can this be adjusted in any way?
Thanks. Greg

It happens to my '03 MCS. Especially if it's left out in the cold during winter.

How many miles do you have on it?

I recently changed the transmission fluid on my 04/2003 S (45k miles) and it made a world of difference on cold shifting. Before, smoothing shifting only came after 15-20 minutes of driving. Now, it's from the get go, and only gets better.

There is no adjustment but Redline MTL is great and smooths out the box a lot in cold weather. I consider it an absolute necessity. It is really easy to change the fluid in your Mini. One suggestion is to make sure you loosen the fill plug before you remove the drain. It's a just in case procedure.
