my air filter element is shrunken in at the ends. i can see the bottom of the box passed the filter, which means, obviously, that dirt is getting in my engine. thankfully, my bmp should arrive today (gracias fronesis!). the car has only 4500 miles & already the stock filter's pretty nasty. a little dirt in your blower never hurt, right?
this is yet another "selling point" for your missus on the benefits of an aftermarket intake...
