Broken Lock

I just had my broken driver's door lock (door lock actuator) replaced when the auto body guys were taking a ding out and repainting the door. They had to take apart the door to repair the ding so I saved on labor by having them do the actuator while they were there.

They told me how hard it was for them to replace it, and how they had to take the glass out. I'm glad I didn't try it myself! It cost me $160 ($110 plus $50 for labor) for the repair and the dealer wanted $340!

Its not that bad of a job. You don't have to take the window out if you are careful. $50 isn't too much to pay for not having to do it yourself. I bought the part for $105, and installed it myself (took about 1/2 hour)
