Mushrooming
Mushrooming
Here is a photo of the top shock assembly area on my 03 MCS. Is this concidered "MushRooming"? If so, will the M7 Strut Tower Brace impede any further damage to my vehicle and what can be done to repair this damage. Driving in a civilized manner is not an option.

Difficult to tell from the photo...
Take a metal ruler or other firm, straight object and lay it on top of the strut tower's longer surface, front to back (toward engine side). If it lies flat from front to back, you're all set. If it is higher in the center, then you have some degree of mushrooming.
To fix it, search elsewhere on NAM for "mushroom". It's easy to repair, but you also want to make sure that your strut is undamaged also.
Once the mushrooming has been repaired, I'd suggest the M7 strut tower plates or, better yet, the M7 strut brace (which includes the plates).

Can't tell if the strut tower is mushroomed, but I can tell the shock mount is broken. You'll need a new mount, but it's a good time to get camber plates if you want them. They will prevent mushrooming. Or go the cheaper route and get a new stock mount and some M7 SRPs or Strut Tower Brace and that will take care of it.
