Well Gary is back in the shop again. When I had to get his new tranny they replaced the alternator because the battery light was coming on and blinking.

Unfortunately after a couple of weeks, it started happening again. When I took it in they could not initially find the problem because it only happens from a "cold start". Today they called and said there was a bulletin about a diode replacement.
The part should be in tomorrow and Gary all fixed up.

Was wondering if anyone else experienced this problem with their Mini?

Nope, not me. Have you got the CVT? When was your MC built?

Yes it is a CVT but I don't know when it was built.

My battery light blinks from cold start and stops after about 30 seconds. I have a manual tranny. I guess I have the diode issue too. Thanks for the info.
