Tire Pressure/ABS/ASC Alarm

Here's my issue, when I hit a large bump in the road the tire pressure warning light comes on followed by the ABS and ASC lights. If I restart the car the tire pressure light clears and if I restart the car a second time the ABS and ASC lights clear and I'm on my way again. Tire pressures are fine at 34psi cold on some very strange Hanking tires (I just bought the car). I haven't captured any codes yet but I thought someone would know a fix or diagnose the problem for me.

Sounds like a loose ABS sensor but I'm no expert. Could be just a connector that's not tight. Should be a quick fix at the dealer.

Typically, I'd agree, but is your car still under warranty?
If so, its their buck, not yours...

(the new-car warranty stays with the car, regardless of how many times its sold, as long as its within the time (yrs) and miles...

They are correct,

You have a bad wheel sensor, your dealer should take care of that in an hour.

55,000 miles so I'm assuming its out of warranty. What's the best way to determine if a wheel sensor is bad and which one?

I was thinking aboutthis last night. Why would a wheel sensor set off the tire pressure monitor? Is there something else it could be? Could it be a failed tire pressure sensor? Is there a way to check them?

The TPMS uses the ABS sensors to monitor the rolling radius of all four tires and warns the driver if there is a drop in tire pressure.

Fascinating, I guess I better get those wheels off and start cleaning and inspecting some speed sensors. Thanks everyone for the advice, I'll report back what I find.
