Help! flat tire

Ok, so I need to see if any of you smart folks out there can help me with a dilehma. Went out and found that my right rear had a nail/small screw in it. Called Mini roadside - we'll tow it 3 hours to ATL but won't do anything else (this is before I found the damage). Called the road hazard I paid 625 smackers for - most information can only be answered m-f 9-5; we can come change your tire for you - I have runflats - sorry can't help you.

So what do I do. Don't need the car until tuesday because I go to see the surgeon in Birmingham on monday (wife's taking me in her car). But then on Tuesday both of us need our cars. Not even sure anyone out here in the stix carries this kind of tire. How long does it take to get a tire from tire rack?

Generally, it takes them 3-5 business days with regular shipping for me. I live pretty close to a shipping hub though. I'm sure at a nice price they could get it to you sooner.

Where is the puncture located? If it's not in the sidewall and you haven't been driving around with zero pressure in the tire, the tire can be repaired.

MINI2 FAQ: Can punctures to run flat tires be repaired?

sorry, it's in the inside sidewall and who knows how long I've been driving on it because with all the unpacking I haven't checked it in a couple of weeks. Great work on the tire monitor mini!

You need to find a shop that can work run-flats, many can't or won't.

also, since a new tire is almost the cost of 2-3 good non-run flats, then you might as well get something like the Yoko ES100 (I think that's it). They're less than $100 each, and a decent entry level performance tire. Also, if you switch to non-run flats, you'll find tons of local shops with the tires in stock. If you really want a run-flat, then it's time to start phoning, and see what expidited shipping costs.....

Not sure what that means but if within an inch of the edge, you paid for the tire insurance? Then take a picture, get a tire from tirerack, get it installed. Tirerack will tell you where installers for RFs exist in your area. Call them, they have several warehouses and can probably overnight you the tire. Then file the claim with the picture you took of the original tire.

I know your thinking about dumping the car. If thats the case, do NOT get non-RFs tires. It wil cost you more to buy 4 than to just get one.

Best of luck

and BTW, sound like you need some luck with this car
