Your problem resides in the window motor. replace the motor and enjoy all the thrills of a working window again.

It's probably the motor. Mine wouldn't go down when it was hot outside, then eventually not at all. It was fixed under warranty.

Mine just did this a couple of weeks ago... but it works now. Don't know why except that it was really hot outside, and while I was rolling the window up, a buddy of mine shut the door and when it closed, it stopped and wouldn't work for the rest of the day... :impatient

Do the "bang the door" technique...it generally works for awhile (when it stops working, then go for the new motor, which is around $80 for the part). Here's how you do it (you can also do a search on this topic, as others have posted on it, which is how I found out about it):

Bang the door with the afflicted window just above the lower speaker while you simultaneously flick with window switch (the bang alone might get the motor working).

Good luck!

Don't run out to replace motor

I recently went to the dealership for other problems and mentioned that the windows on both sides stopped working. He got in, held the window switch down and banged once above the speaker and it worked, then he did the same on the other side. He said something like the motor resets itself and it just needs a little bump to work again. I banged a bunch of times but he knew exactly where the motor was and since then on a hot day it didn't work. Held switch down while doing a bang and walla! perfect again.

I think of it as window roulette. It's a nice surprise when the windows work.

ahhh, I had never tried the "banging the door while activating the switch" technique. (I've just banged the door :impatient ) Good to know! Interesting, it does seem this happens to others like me - just when its summer!
