We are getting ~32 city and 35 hwy with our 07' MC Automatic.
Would likely have a higher hwy result but this includes traffic pockets in
the SF bay area traffic commute. My wife primarily drives the car and she is
a fairly conservative driver.
The best I've been able to get is 42 mpg (OBC). Average - 36 to 38 mpg combination city and highway. Gas mileage seemed to improve by a few mpg after 20,000 miles.
When I can keep my foot off the gas at about 60 mph I average 34-35. In normal driving about 31. I find that I get better mileage with 89 octane than with 91-93, but the engine runs bettter and gives better performance with the higher octane.
I get an average of 26.5 MPG. Almost always. And I calculate at every tank with a calculator and my gas (93 octane) receipt. I drive mostly highway in my 2006 MCS. I now have the JCW CAI and Milltek exhaust. I haven't seen too much change in fuel consumption since the mods were installed. I don't drive "too" hard but I like to get to cruising speed quickly. The best I ever got was 29 on a highway cruise with 60 other MINIs in the mountains. The worst was 24 as my car was breaking in.
