I felt I should re-title my "Question for those who've had cvt failures", since most who did have a failure would not likely be looking at this section. I have an additional question: Has anyone changed a cvt filter and found it heavily contaminated with trapped particles or sludge? I am asking this because if so, then I will want to take the oil pan off the trans and replace the filter, but if nobody finds much crud in the filter when they change it, I won't waste all the effort taking it all apart- I'll just change the fluid again. -Jeffy.
