I'm sure there is a how-to somewhere, maybe on MotoringFile.
Anyway, it's pretty easy...
Unroll the bumper protector and lay in the sun so it will be flat.

Mix the little green pack of soap with a little water and put it in a spray bottle, if you don't have a spray bottle then use a little plastic Tupperware and a sponge.

Make sure the area where the bumper protection will go is clean.

Generously wet down the top of the bumper cover with the soap solution where the protection will be placed.

Place the bumper protector on the bumper and center it to where you want it.

Use the squeegee from the center of the bumper protector and work the excess soap and air bubbles out to the ends.

This is how I did it on my '03, you posted in the 2nd Gen forum, but it should be a similar application.

Here is the questions I also started before. There is a link from one of the responses I got. I followed the direction. It sounds and looks easy, however, make sure you have a hair dryer ready. Good luck! I love it. I don't have to worry about my two dogs scratching the bumper.

You can find the factory instruction for the rear bumper protect here. Scroll down to the R56 section.

Good luck!
