Where the heck is the clock???

I recently purchased a 05 MCS with the Nav System and can't seem to find the clock. The threads I've read say either on the speedo or by the map light but nothing is there. Since the Nav is where the Speedo normally is situated do I not have a clock? The car has a build date of 07/04 if that helps.

Just wait a little bit. Birdman or Robin Cassidy will SURELY chime in soon and save the day for you!

On 05 & 06 MINIs, the clock is in the speedometer (in the digital part at the bottom). Even if you have Nav, it's in your (smaller) speedo that is attached to the steering wheel, next to the tach.

It shares space with your tripmeter. Just push the reset button briefly (i.e. don't hold it down, that just resets the tripmeter) and it will flip over to clock mode. To set the clock time, hold the button (the same one) in, and the hours will start blinking, after which you push the button advance the hours... to get to minutes, pause and wait.

It's really not that difficult, I'm probably overexplaining it.

The two NAM members I mentioned have a lot of experience with the built in NAV systems. I just figured they could help.

Ahh OK. Well, they aren't the only ones... although my own experiences are all with the 1st Gen factory Nav. Since greenmonster at first posted in the 1st Gen Coupe Talk (before I moved it here), I figure he has the same setup I do. If I'm not mistaken, both Birdman & Robin Casady have R56s, which use a completely different Nav system.

I believe you are correct on both counts. Anyway, it looks like you have provided plenty of assistance for greenmonster.

Edge, thanks for your help. Since the time wasn't programmed when I got the car the PO obviously didn't know how to do it either.
