intermittent no start

I have this intermittent problem where I'll go to start my 2006 MC and the following items don't power up;

main instrument display
fuel and temp guage, seat belt light, battery light, oil light, air bag light, tire pressure light and EML light
tach display
service engine soon light, brake light, ABS light
climate control display
temp display
If I try to start the car, it cranks but won't fire.

I've lived with this for about six months and have found that, when this happens, if I wait (anywhere from 10 to 60 seconds) the above units will eventually come on and I can start the car.

I brought in to the dealer twice for this issue and they say they can't duplicate the issue. I found that hard to believe as this happens on a daily basis. They did open a PUMA, and the factory said this has been an issue associated with pinched wires behind the dash. They checked the wiring and said it all checked out ok.

I did notice this about a month after the steering wheel air bag (mini emblem peeling up) and main instrument panel (clock running slow) were replaced at the dealer.

Anyone else have this problem and if so has it been resolved?

i fixed 2 cars with the same problem as yours with new ignition switches. i was able to duplicate the problems constantly and after the switches were replaced the problem was gone.

thanks Joey, did you experience any intermittency? Obviously, mine is not failing constantly or I wouldn't be able to drive my car
