To the Dealer or Not to the Dealer???

My 04 MCS has 28k miles on it and after work today I tried to start her up and no joy... Battery was completely dead would not hold a charge. The AAA dude let me borrow his portable charger to get it home since a flat bed was estimating 2 hours+.

So the question is, now that I'm home, do I just spend the $$$ on a new battery? Is the battery under warranty? I've read a bit about the PS pump/motor being a cause of this problem and maybe needing replacement and the AAA dude noticed a whine as I turned the wheels... I said it's always been like that... so definately worth taking in?? She also wouldn't reverse at first, but once I got home everything worked... except the battery :(

Thanks in advance!

Well, since the car is still under the factory warranty, unless there is a reason not to take the car to the dealer, why wouldn't you?

There is a warranty issue with the batteries. Definitely take it to the dealer.
