loose bits

hi guys,
i was just looking at my engine bay out of bordem and found a few things which seemed strange. it would be good if someone could verify if they're meant to be like that or not because they do seem a little out of place, but maybe that's just mini
1. a loose wire
2. a screw with no nut to hold it down (well at least the adjacent one has a nut)
3. 2 holes which look like they should have bolts in them but have round stickers over them instead.
anyway, here are some photos to show where they all are

One of the taped holes is where the OEM alarm module bolts in.

Wow, that's older than mine....3-02

I like the OEM alarm theory as well

Are you the original owner? I wonder if an alarm(DWA) was installed and removed because normally those wires are taped up in the other harness. That would also explain the exposed threaded holes. Also the very early production vehicles might have been test fitted to make sure that a product works in the vehicle. I will look at my car tommorrow. I know that my headliner is not fitted with a removeable cover in the rear for the ultrasonic sensor of the alarm, so I wonder really what the start of production for the DWA would have actually been.

The taped up wires for the alarm are in the same location as the taped over holes. It's possible the early car was not pre-wired for the alarm. A friend has an early '02, and she was SOL when it came to the alarm.

No dice on mine, no taped up harness...Like I said, it may be something in very early production that they were testing and added the harness to your car before in went into full scale production..Just like you have struts that have different attachment points to the end links to the sway bars than 99% of the cars out there. I think that change with my SOP(3/02)
