jerking when idle?

Hey,
I've got a stock 03 Cooper with 59000 miles on it. I was driving up to Santa Cruz today, which is probably one of the longer drives I had with my coop, in super hot weather. 100+.. and on my way home I noticed it was jerking soo much. I'd stop and go, but right when I go, I get a huge jerky feeling. I know mini coopers already did this, but it's a much bigger feeling than before. I also noticed at times, when letting go of the brake and idling, it wouldn't even move at all.. (like the brake was still held down) That when I knew for sure, this time it would jerk. Anyone know what the problem is?

I JUST was at the shop and got my drivers door lock fixed.. and now this..

John
