Morning all.just had a pesky problem taken care of that's been a on going
problem for about 3 weeks now. after having right lower door speaker replaced under warranty,trunk lid would unlock all buy its lonesome.took it in
to get it looked at and this had been the first time Bob Smith Mini had ever
seen this problem.the first item they put in was a latch assy.NO HELP
one week later took it back again for the same problem,second item tried
was a trunklid grip assy,NO HELP took it back a 3rd time and they kept the car for 3 days and troubleshot the problem down to a wire from
the gm module to the trunk latch, short in the wire or high resistance within the wire. replaced wire and right now everything working fine. I know a few people have had this problem a simple wire R&R fixed my problem.
