Good Friday Morning Motoring

Got up this morning, got myself a cup of coffee, looked out the front door, and there was a silver MC cabrio at the 4-way stop at Geyer and Essex. First one I've seen on the road so far! He/she turned right and headed north on Geyer.

On my way to work, a B/W MC w/bonnet stripes, white 16" 5-spokes, and tinted windows got onto I-44 headed east and we kept close for quite a while. Sharp lookin' MINI.

Nothing like seeing more than one MINI driving together down the freeway! (Ain't that right, Paul? ) It's good for the soul. Good way to start a day if you ask me.

Motor on to the weekend!

Not so good Monday morning drive

When I was on my way to work Monday, I was behind this van on 270 doing 75mph. All of a sudden the vans rear tire blows out, and there are exploding tire pieces flying through the air. I dodge most of them, but one hit my white bonnet stripe and left a black impression that I can not remove. At least I am lucky to say that appears to be all the damage. As for the van driver, they were able to pull off to the shoulder safely with no incidents. It has not been a good last two months. At the MO southern rallye I picked up a rock chip in my windscreen (windshield), and now this. Oh well, that is what driving a Mini is all about, experiences of a life time!!!

That van that pulled the ol' "cut around the lane" trick must have gotten to both of us before getting onto 40 the other night.

Heh, heh, heh........

Did you reply with the, "I was just trying to get home to YOU faster, that's all!" That's always good one.
