Hi guys!
Hi guys!
I just wanted to say hello to everyone, I have put off joining the board for some time, but now that its summer, and i finally have gotten some mods on my car, i figured i should get to know some of you all.
My name is Matt Gullion, I'm 20yrs old(be 21 in October
), I am going to be a junior at SLU this fall. I now live in south city on Sublette Ave, with my best friend and his brother, but my mom lives in kirkwood on Central ave, so you may see me there from time to time. Plus right at the end of my mom's street there is a silver MCS with different 17's and custom plates(MYT MNI), never seen the driver though.
I purchased my MC in Decembr of 2002, and have since put 32k miles on it =0. In the past couple of weeks i have gotten my ADR 18" spade wheels put on, gotten my windows tinted 5% all around, and i also have type S side skirts. I just got my type s bumpers in the mail, and will soon get them as well as all the outside trim, and all the silver stuff inside painted to match. And at the same time i am going to get a custom header back exhaust to go with the intake...and i cant wait.
I have not seen any other modded minis around St. Louis, though from the forums i know thats not true. I also work at WaterWay on watson rd at the city limit. I cant remember his name, but the guy with the dark silver MCS comes in occasionally and he told me about the site, and that he runs the STLmini site. I'm one of the three service consultants, so i stand up front and sell the washes, and my best friend(roomate) is one of the other two. Plus i take care of all mini drivers, so come in and say hi.
Also, I was planning on going to the track event this month, but i dont have any of the details, or a helmet. If anyone knows about it, let me know because i definately want to tear up the track with everyone.
I would greatly appreciate it if everyone would reply telling me a little bit about themselves and their cars.

Welcome to the group!
You definitely need to try those tires out at track day. For more information on the track event see www.minidrivingacademy.com and talk to Phil Wicks for any more information. I'm bummed because I'll be out of town that weekend!
As for modded MINIs, they are out there, BradB and Killerbee both have some nice ones. Mine (Bowser) has primarily cosmetic mods, however it does have a CAI installed, and enjoying it to. So if you see a BRG/W Cooper with white bonnet stripes and rallye lights with red covers, that's me.

I've seen you!!! It was mabey a week ago, mabey more. You were on the overpass on Olive going over 270 heading east. I was like, DAYUM, look at those shoes.
I was in an all BRG mcs. Right now, im stock exterior, but thats soon to change. Under the hood, thats a different story.
In the next few weeks, ill have 18' ASA AR1's, cant wait for those.
I'll be sure to drop by sometime this week, as im off a few days. I'm only 16, but keep a look out for an all BRG mcs comin over there.
Edit: Im going to be a junior this year. I DO pay for my MCS, umm ... thats about it really. Oh, and welcome to the club.

Welcome to the group. I think I've seen you around Kirkwood. I live in South County & drive a chili red/black MC with numerous cosmetic additions.
Be sure to go to the track, it's a lot of fun & you'll also learn a great deal on handling your MINI. I do have a helmet that you could borrow.

Hi YellowBelly,
I'm Aaron Geiger, the gentleman that always comes to Waterway to get my car washed. Glad to see you on the forum! I really like your yellow MINI, it looks sweet!
As for the track day, I think Paul already gave you the link:
http://www.wicksdrivingacademy.com/sched_pwda.htm
This is a link to the track schedule. If you join the STLMINI club ($25 per year), you can get the club pricing for all of Phil's track events. As for a helmet, you can either borrow one from a club member or you can rent one at the track for $25 (be sure to mention this to Phil). Lastly, you can buy one for $60 at: http://www.soloperformance.com/Deskt...18&selection=0
If you want to join the STLMINI club, simply visit http://www.stlmini.com and fill out the membership application.
We hope to have you in the club! If you have any questions, feel free to send me a PM.
