Sprint Booster

Have any of you used the Sprint Booster on your Mini? Before I spend money on one I would like to hear how good it works?
Does it really eliminate throttle lag?
Is there a small or large difference between the three settings?
Are there other products or software for a laptop that does the same thing?
Thank you in advance for you replies.
John

There are a bunch of threads on this topic. Most people who have it seem to like it and say it really does fix the throttle lag. Some find it too twitchy, some feel they can get the same benefit by being more aggressive with the gas pedal, and some feel the price tag is too high. Retailers claim that very few people return it. Many people feel the price tag is too steep.

Personally I have not installed it on my MINI, but plan to. The throttle lag is a pain in the ***, and I feel that a twitchy, responsive gas pedal suits my driving style so I will probably like it. $300 is steep, but if it works as promised, it's a good value in my opinion.

If you've got the cash, I say order one from WayMotorWorks or another reputable retailer and give it a shot. If you don't like it, you can return it for your money back within 30 days, no hassle.

I have had the older version ( non adjustable ) for two years now.

Didn't notice the described twitchy throttle response until after the JCW software was loaded into my MINI few months back.

So a SB with the ability to adjust the settings would be nice to have especially if you have modded the DME.
