hi from a non-mini-owner enthusiast
So whats a VW guy doing here? Umm.....Although I don't own one, I really like mini's I guess. I drive a black 1998 VW newbeetle. I've done a bunch of stuff to it...exhaust, intake work, suspension, wheels, PIP rack, meep-meep horn...bunch of stuff. I'm a member of st. louis water-cooled VW club (stlvw.org). Anyways, I met a mini enthusiast named Greg who was returning from a european trip and we got to talking cars(and beer) and he told me to check out this site. So here I am.
In tthe near future, the stl Vw club will be doing a road rally and poker run and we are hoping to get other car clubs and drivers involved. I'll post some more details when they become available. In the meantime, check out our clubs website to see what we're all about. Hopefully I'll get to see some of you folks at the rally or car shows or drives or whatever in the future.
happy motoring...and if you see a black bug with a wood roof rack, don't be afraid to wave.

Hi Dan,
Lois here. Thanks for checking in. I'm sure many of us would love to join in on some of your club activities. I also drive a Miata & I am the PR person for the Gateway Miata Club. I can pass the info on to the Miata crowd also. I drove 2 classic??? beatles back in the sixties. One was my very first car-a '67 blue with sunroof. I loved that car
