Well, the Dunlop 9000 Runflat tires are listed for sale on craigslist! I ordered 215/45R-17 Bridgestone Potenza G 019 Grid XL tires from tire rack. They should be here on Friday and mounted later that afternoon!

If anyone is interested on the run flats I am taking off, they only have maybe 3000 miles on them. I can't get over that these tires are $270/each!

Our Clubman has a little over 7k miles on it, and the runflats look more worn than the Goodyears I have on my Cooper, that have about 20k on them. This is a good thing, because I hate the runflats, ride is harsh, and grip is really only so-so. Not sure what we will get, have to wait and hear from you Rex on what you got.

Mark,

I got the Bridgestone Potenza G 019 Grid from tire rack. I picked this tire cause it is priced nicely and offers the best winter rating that I could find. They arrived today and look amazing stacked up in the garage!

Here is the link to the tire write-up.

Believe it or not, I am eating popcorn right now.

Well, just got back from having the new Bridgestone Potenza G 019 Grid tires put on. Interesting thing happened. First, I noticed that Firestone sells the same tire. While the car was in the shop, the shop manager came up to me and asked where I heard about the "Grids." I told him (again) that I did my research on tirerack. He advised me that they were likely one of the better performance tires available for the money.

So far, I have abour 6 miles on them; hardly enough road time for a review! First impression however is that they are about 20% softer riding and rated as superior on wet roads, and excellent in snow (I know, not experienced either yet).

Okay, I worked last night and need a nap, otherwise I will be a cheap date tonight at our "social."

You need at least 300 miles to scrub off the top layer of the tire left from the molding process before you can begin the get a true sense of performance.

Well, I have at least 1000 miles on the Bridgestone Potenza G 019 Grid tires and I am quit pleased. Wet traction is exceptional and I am sorry to say that due to the snow we have had already, they do well in light snow as indicated by tirerack.
