Do we need a club
Brake clinic! (I have yet to really look how my 4 piston BBKs are put together).
. But then I come from where it really does get cold, where if you did wash your car outside in January, you would be rubbing ice cubes on it
A tech session sounds great as long as there can be some info for those of us who are severely mechanically-challenged.
Could we set it for after the first of the year? I'm really interested in this but don't have any free time on my schedule until after the first of the year.

OK, enough of my humour
. I think a Mid-January tech/DIY clinic would be great. Either at Mark's, or, there is talk of doing clinics at the dealer also.I would be more than willing to included detailing at such an event. If someone wants to do their brakes, I could show how to clean/wax wheels, while they are off the car. I have some winter detailing tricks, plus if someone wants to do an exhaust, I could show Mishka how to polish a muffler bearing and get some minor performance gains. Sorry, couldn't resist
.Another thought, if we could do this kind of thing at the dealer's, maybe we could also have the "Holiday" event we talked about having later the same day. So it becomes something for everyone, greasy hands, clean wheels, and a social event. This may seem like a lot for one day, but it may also be a way to get a large group together, with a little of something for everyone, in what is normally a slow time for the club.
It also lends itself for folks with different interest getting together, to help organize what could become a "Major Event" for the club, in a time when interest is generally low.
Mark
I'll be sure to bring the left-handed wrench and a bottle of blinker fluid in case I'm getting low.
These idea for a tech clinic is great. I thought at first that January would too far off, but it might work out better. Everyone can ask for parts for Christmas, knowing that they might have installation help right around the corner...
