Wack!!!!!!!

That was the sound of my baby being hit from behind today! I was turning into a very busy gas station in Escondido, when the guy behind me decided to get out his cell phone and hit the back of me. Arrrghhhh! I am fine but I could've killed the guy!

Good thing though, his car is worse than mine. He hit me in the left panel of the hatch, scrubbed up the bumper a bit. The lid will have to be replaced and the bumper buffed and painted. I called Brecht at the seen, and asked about the hatch lid, they said unpainted it's $385.95. I am so nglad I bought my MINI. No she just needs to be repaired.

Any and all suggestions and comments are appreciated.

Thank you Clo! I have been gone helping my oldest with her first baby. I spent quite some time in Virginia. You think SoCal has MINIs? DCs got more than here I think!

I think we're the second largest MINI Club in the US .. we just hit 400 active members in DCMM. In LA how many active members in your SoCal club?

Krut, I couldn't tell you. I know there are a lot of people in clubs, but there are so many clubs! I live out in the boonies, as they're known here, and so don't get into the city often enough. When I was in DC I was amazed at how many of you I saw the first night I was there. I was driving the 29 on my way to Charlottesville (the long way) and must've seen 30 or 40 befoer I really got out of town. Shock!

Was it this guy?

Sorry to hear about this. I'm training myself to profile drivers around me who are on their cell phone. Butt in some cases you can't take evasive manuevers. Did you ask for their cell phone for evidence? Can you get their billing records to show they were on the phone? Did they hang up, or were they talking to someone when you wanted to wring their freakin' neck?

No, you still can't have my MINI cookie cutter.

He quickly lost his phone on impact. He said he was thinking about picking up his daughter and getting his check cashed, wasn't paying attention. Didn't have insurance info on him. Had to followhim home to get the needed info. Seemed like a young family guy, just not paying attention. But man, I swear, people pay attention!

When they told me the name of their ins co I had never heard of them. I got on the phone and had my daughter in VA google the name. She found they have a website. Well, that makes them legit. Aaaack!

There goes my premiums!

I can't believe you still won't give me your cutter!

Why will it affect your premiums? I had replacing a windsheild do so.

I haven't got around to making another.

Problem with the insurance is that I just changed companies. Got a really good rate with Geico and it's only been in place for two months. I am not sure what it will do to the premiums, just parroting others I suppose. In 30+ years of driving, I've never been in an accident. 1st timer here.

I'll let you know.

I think if I was driving a humvee (prolly a US convoy) in Iraq speaking English I wouldn't stop at any time either.
