Today's weather.com forecast for Sunday: 56 degrees, partly cloudy, 10% chance of precipitation.

And I was kind of hoping for rain.

EDIT: still hope.. The forecast above was for Santa Monica. Fontana has a 30% chance of rain.

Ok, here is an option for me.....I am going to give the FULL guilt trip on Shannon, and try to get her to come out there and play with us. Have her share my MCS, and have some fun herself...run in the event.

Wish me luck. Last time I offered for her to drive my MCS she "reminded" me how I freak out about it. But, I read someone else's posting on here about teaching their g/f to drive, and one suggestion was to take it to an AutoX and have an instructor with her. Great idea. Hope to see y'all there.

Only bummer with taking Shannon, is no room for the EZ-Up, does anyone care for that thing anyhow? If we really want it there, I am happy to have someone else bring it, but be warned , it is big.

Good luck with getting Shannon to drive.

Mid 50's and partly cloudy sounds like we could pass on the ez-up. (JMO)

For any spectators that only want to come for part of the day, if you come in the afternoon (say around 2:30) you could catch the final timed runs, and then we'll be going out to dinner after the awards.

Are you talking tech???? the tech inspection is done at the event. If your talking about joining BMWCCA at the event, you might have problems.....just register online and once that's approved they can email you back a confirmation with your member number on it

You don't need to bring any paperwork for Tech. The "Tech Inspection" at autocross isn't the same as the "Tech Inspection" for their Driver's Schools (the ones with the tech session and forms in advance of the event).

For autocross the "tech inspection" amounts to:
  • Check Battery: Is it still there? Check
  • Check Wheels: Still attached? Check
  • Did you bring a helmet, if yes, does it have a certification sticker in it that is newer than 1995? Check
Yeah, that's about the size of it. Nothing major.

As Paul said, you need to be a BMWCCA member before the event. Bring your BMWCCA card. If you don't have that yet, print the confirmation e-mail from BMWCCA showing your member number/status.
