Self Wash in Orange County?

Does anyone know of any self car wash places in Orange County? I live in Aliso Viejo near Irvine and can't wash and detail my car at my apartment complex. Any suggestions/recommendations are appreciated. Thanks in advance!

There is one on Lake Forest. North side of the 405 about 5 miles up from the 405.

See attached map.

A note about car washes. The water is filtered and reused over and over. If you go to a cheap car wash that is not well maintained, the water will have grit in it!

Didn't think Mini's would fit in standard car washes?

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I'll have to check some of them out when my car gets dirty again. If anyone else knows of any other good places, keep the recommendations coming!

Yeah, I like that one. They actually sell some pretty nice MF towels.

hey uscfan, I am in Ladera Ranch, right across the 5 from you. I go to Las Flores Car Wash (next to audio toyz) on Oso and Antonio Parkway all the time, they do a really good job and nothing but their terry cloth towels ever touches your MINI. They also offer detailing.

Hmmm...
How much do they charge for a basic wash? Also, have you seen any swirl marks from going there? I love washing the MINI myself, but sometimes I just don't have the time.

$10.99 basic handwash
$15.99 for handwash, wheel trim, and your choice of interior scent (I usually don't go for the interior scent..did it once and it took weeks before we could breathe normally inside the car again).

They also do waxing and detailing.

No swirl marks from this place. I did go to a the hand wash place on Michelson and Culver, I tried them only ONCE...they left swirl marks and scratches. I also never let the dealership wash my MINI, they too left swirl marks and scratches.

What I like about the Las Flores place is you can sit inside and watch tv on their multiple plasma tvs and they have plush leather seats.

Oh...I have met other MINI owners there too. Very MINI safe.

Seconded for the Las Flores place - I real close and use it often, they do a great wax job if you dare let anyone else touch your car

Sounds like I found a new place to go get my car washed. I ended up washing my car myself in the parking lot of my apartment builiding. Though it turned out great, it was a huge pain and not something I want to go through again. Man I wish I had my own driveway!

I think I'll give them a shot next week. I mean, of course I love to wash my car myself, but I don't have the time!

You guys are killing me!

I can't stand the thought of you guys taking your cars to a car wash . The paint on our minis is very soft. No one has nor will wash my car other them myself.

I understand about time. I have four kids. I purchased a Mr. Clean car wash gun and love it. I can wash my mini in 30 minutes flat.

Please, no more talk about car washes.

Good for you, but I don't have a driveway.

Sometimes I get lazy...but I finally found a reliable, safe, 100% car wash place that treats my MINI the way it should be treated. They only use clean towels for each car.

Don't get me wrong, I also wash my MINI but I tend to wash her every week, sometimes before a MINI event and sometimes even after a MINI run.

Just last night, I was testing out products for a local car detailing company..I had to wash my bonnet 15 times! I think I will be going back to the car wash this Saturday to get ready for the MINI rally on Sunday.

FYI..I believe Las Flores closes around 6PM...I'm not sure when they open buy I think 7AM.

Max..I'll probably squeeze in between NCAAF football games..around 3:30PM. If I don't see you at Las Flores, hope to see you at the Neighborhood Cup on Sunday.

I may just attempt to clean it at home (about 200yds from the car wash), but if not, I'll head over about then.

I will be at the 'cup on Sunday Am - early start.....
