OC Representin'

Hey everyone, I'll soon be the proud owner of an '06 DS/W MCS! Should be here mid-november, but it'd be nice to see whos out there in orange county. I'm in Aliso Viejo.

Rachael,

Welcome to the MINI community! You have several Mini brothers and sisters in your area. Several MINI owners meet at The Neighborhood Cup coffee shop at the Aliso Viejo Library the last Sunday of each month. http://www.theneighborhoodcup.com/

Please consider attending the SoCal Mini Day on October 29th. It starts with a rally from Aliso Viejo and ends up at a British Pub with raffles, a Mini show, and entertainment all day long. Details Can Be Found by Clicking HERE

There are two local clubs:

Mini Owners of America Los Angeles (MOALA) has at least one or two events a month plus a regular print newsletter, monthly meetings, etc.
www.moala.org
www.moalachat.com
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...play.php?f=165

AND

The Southern California Mini Maniacs (SCMM) has something to do just about every weekend along with a regular digital newsletter and breakfast meetings throughout southern California.

Wow, you guys are awesome! Thanks so much for all the info. It would be awesome if I had my mini by Oct. 29th, but I think that would be stretching it. .. and I would feel like an *** if I just showed up in my honda!!

I will definitley check out those websites.. cant wait to get involved.. does anyone have experience/info about the c3 club? I met someone who was involved with it and am definitley inerested.

Thanks again!

ooh also.. what's this dragon business??

We're going to have the exact same car! I live in Aliso Viejo and will be picking up my 06 DS/W MCS in mid-October. Maybe I'll see you around.

I think our cars are best buddies! I actually had ordered mine as BRG, but then just decided last week I was already sick of the green and I didnt even have the car yet... so I called up the dealer and they changed it for me.

You got bonnet stripes on yours?

We both changed colors on our cars too! I ordered mine Hyper Blue and then changed it to dark silver. I have white bonnet stripes on mine for now, but I'm not sure if I will keep them on. Hopefully we wont get our cars confused...lol

Don't worry about not having your Minis yet! The Mini Day is open to everybody who loves MINIs. Plus you may win some goodies for your cars before you have them in one of the raffles! If you want to skip the rally part and go directly to the car show and event, just show up around 11:00 on. It is going to be a fun day!

It is located at:

The Olde Ship
British Pub & Restaurant
1120 W 17th St
Santa Ana, California

Hello rachaelstarr, I'm soon to be a proud owner of a MCS 06 coming sometime this month, hopefully. It's a DS/S hardtop with a silver bonnet stripe, and standtard 17" s-lite wheels. I'm in Dana Point.

I pretty much stuck to DS/S from the get go, especially a silver top since those are 06 specific.

I ordered my MINI with Long Beach MINI about a week and half after you did. I hoping to call sometime this week.

What up bumble Bee Tuna - long time man... We thought you shipped out to sea... I guess not - just slummin' with the West Coasters ;-)... How's that? Come and hang with us on the first Wed. of the month - you know that place... K1 carting - we usually get a good turnout.

Hi neighbor! I'm expecting my CR/W JCW in November too! Maybe our MINIs are on the same ship. What dealership did you go through?

I live in Ladera Ranch, just across the I-5 from you. There are plenty of MINIs in our area.

I do recommend hanging out with SCMM'ers every 4th Sunday of every month at the Neighborhood Cup, it's right in your back yard (near the public library on Pacific Park and Aliso Creek).

All the best!

lexster05, I'm not far from you guys (Dana Point). I'll have to remember when and where the SCMM'ers meet, sounds like it's in Aliso Viejo.

Rachael, check out the various MOTD (MINIs on the Dragon) forums in the National Events sector on NAM. I have gone to each big event in May since the first one in 2003, and wouldn't miss it for the world. I also go in July and October (try to go each season...still haven't gone in the winter).

Check out this site.
