Bimmers Pics

Pic 1
Oooh yeah! I'm a fiendish fan of those low angles!
Looks like between 10am - 2pm 'cause of shadows. Used polarizer to cut glare, strengthen sky, right?

WoW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dave, you sure do wonder to the pic. Man I didn't know my MCS looks that good. Nice meeting you and it was fun tailgating you up to Julian. The only person that I have to pass was Karen but man she did really good with stock tires. Anyway, once again thank you for a cool pic.

Those are nice pix Jerry.
I can just picture you sticking your hand up with camera to get some of these shots.
Or did your lovely wife have a hand in some of these?

It was a great run. Thanks WCM and c3!!!

Richard: Great job on the organization of the location points. Also very nice job on leading the caravan...I know it takes A LOT of self control for that!!!!
ACMINI: It was great to lead and follow you throughout the day. Let's get together for another run!!!

Great pics everyone!!!

Well I snapped this of Jerry--that's pretty much how he was all throughout the runs!

Hey ACMINI, I had you pass me because "I wanted to to see your black stripes on your boot, remember?" (We will not discuss the real reason on this thread!! ) You can lead any day AC!

HEHE... Having a rag top did pay off in taking those pics. Although, towards the end of the day my neck was killing me from constantly being turned around. My wife did all the driving. A friend of ours rode shotgun. I was in the back seat. She is now a Mini convert. I took over 400 pics all together, so about a quarter of them ended up being usable. You all can judge for yourself how many of them are any good.

Yeah, I was thinking at the time that a wide angle shot from that position was something you'd like.

Right around 9:30-10 AM, but no polarizer. I think I lost my wallet of filters on Tuesday. Hopefully it will turn up.

Good to meet you too. Your MCS is awesome. Damn shame about your wheels getting worked over at the installer.

My pleasure. Next time I will have to figure out a way to get more people in the shots.

Meeneeboy,

My wife nixed the posting of any of the posing pictures I had. But you are not me, so there are no consequences.

Choump,

That's really funny! Those Vipers are big, so each one covers more area of the picture, but from what I can tell, we beat them in number!!

Ture ture Richard..........
He tried to tell me that, there were over 60+ S2000's on that event but from the look of it. We out number them 2 to 1.................

OLD Gang?

JUst wanted to know who is still around after all this years?

Also I apologize to everyone that I got a little hot on their tails---Robyn, and Keith, and anybody else! My Cooper was in 2nd and 3rd the whole time, and to compensate for my lower HP than your MCS's on the tight twisties I gotta keep up the momentum, so I use my brakes as little as possible, controlling my speed via engine braking, but there were several times, when I practically ended up in your back seat. The best part for me was realizing that my worn Yokos still had a lot of grip despite the 24,000 miles on them!

Sheryl, it's a real blast coming down that fast tight section with you on my tail! Several times I could see Sheryl shaking her finger at me for being naughty---i.e. going a little too fast for the caravan.

Charlie and Chomp,
I had a great time. I was really pleased with the turnout. I believe the official count was 42 MINIs, but there may have been more, but I do know that more than 50% of them were from c3!!! Woohooo.

c3/WCM Julian Run
Saturday, August 27, 2005 c3 (Cooper Club for Charities) and WCM (West Coast MINIs) joined together in a super club event. 42 MINI (24 from c3) convened in Fallbrook, CA and motored together on a curvy, windy road, that took us from Fallbrook to Lake Henshaw to Julian for some delicious apple pie! The weather ranged from 94 to 104 degrees along the way, and every model of new MINI was out there!

Here's my Writeup!!!

Lake Henshaw, a regrouping, and rest point. But how we got here begins below.

Gathering Point #1 6:30AM in Culver City

8 MINIs arrived on schedule. We spent the time waiting by applying c3 vinyl decals and chatting.

We're on our way...Uh oh, I forgot the map that I just printed out---gotta run back to get it.

Gathering Point #2 Corona, Taco Bell at 8:15AM

c3 Vinyl Badging Ritual!

Park & Ride 76 & 395

Surprise Jeanine!!!

Choump's (AC MINI) Beautiful MCS!

Jerry the Photographer!

Julianne!

Linda Raffling!!

Sheryl and her Jelly Bellies!

Jeanine Keeping Out of the 100+ Deg Heat!

Cameras Everywhere!

Jelly Belly Winners-Michele and John!

They guessed 802 with the correct answer being 799!

A big thank you to WCM for making the Julian run happen and accomodating your fellow northern friends! Also a big thank you to Sheryl and Linda for coordinating and running the raffle duties! We gave away a Meguiar's detailing kit, a piggy bank full of money, and a big jar of jelly bellies! Proceeds are going to one of our supported children charities.
