Universal Mini parts and maintenance (warranty)
Universal Mini parts and maintenance (warranty)
Hello Everyone:
I just bought a MCS 05 and have been planning certain modifications on my new car. (Actually I already started by installing a set of 17" BBS wheels)
But there some other parts on its way like lowering springs, cold air intake, Borla exhaust...and that’s it!...not planning on installing pulleys or modifying anything internally on the engine)
That said, I am originally form the east coast and the dealers in that area are ok with you making modifications like the ones I am about to do…actually, they even offer to do the installation.
Well, at universal they are not compromising on any of that. (they say you will loose your warranty and pay 500 bucks everytime you bring the car in for any work!) This seems strange to me given that so many dealers are more enthusiasts than this specific dealership.
We bought our brand new MCS with a MSRP markup and since then I have always felt that they are too sleazy for me. (I bought the car because it was exactly what we wanted...and the jet black color won’t be available next year!)
OK, sorry for the long thread but can anyone tell me if they have a nicer MINI dealer I could use while in the west coast for the summer. (Taking the car back to Manhattan at the end of summer)
Alexander Mini seemed quite nice, but I didn’t buy a car there because they didn’t have the Jet Black in the lot.
Thank you.
