I thought I posted this before but - June 5th - Huntington Beach Central Park - the concours car show will feature the Mini and MINI this year. Last count there were well over 20 Minis/MINIs registered and we're expecting at least twice that number to enter, but time is running out to register. If you've never been to this show - I go every year - it is one of the largest and best cars shows of the year in California. It is better than Newport and as much fun as Pebble Beach with only half the snobbery! It's for a charity - the children's library - so please come support it by entering your MINI or at least supporting those who are (like me )

I just got the official word - 39 Minis & MINIs registered!

 

I love Huntington Beach and it would be double nice with MINI/Minis! But I hope it is 100% less snooty than Pebble Beach--migod the megarich have overrun that event too.

Sadly (happily?) it is World Environment Day in my town (first time held in a USA city which makes me proud) so I pledged to not use my car this weekend (which makes me anxious since I have not even broken it in yet). But next year WED will be held someplace else so I can motor to Huntington Beach with impunity (and maybe make an appointment at M7 for some mods--so much for the environment).

I hope everyone has a GREAT time and one of the great SouthCal photographers posts a picture on NAM.

 

Dang - wish we could go - but unfortunately - plans made already...:smile: I'm sure the pictures will be fantastic...
