2 week wait for service
2 week wait for service
I just called Long Beach Mini to schedule an appointment (recall re:emmisions, and a few other little problems) and was given a date TWO weeks away. Any other dealers booking so far out?

I hate to tell you, but that wait is pretty normal. We get our's serviced at Brecht, and once we had to wait for 4 weeks for a routine type of service.
Now, we did have a bit of an emergency one day and they DID get us in the same day....

Nick Alexander typically has a 4 week wait. Although depending on the time of year, my last scheduled service was made 3 months in advance. The last appointment I made was to pick up some warranty items and the wait was 3 weeks--and fortunately the recall announcement came out during that time, so I asked them to do the recall then. So it varies.

Blacknblue, I got a date of Nov 17th at 7 am. You might still be sitting in the customer lounge when I pull in.
The thing I forgot to pass on is this...Originally when they gave me a TWO week appt I thought, "It's because I only own a Mini, I'll bet BMW owners get better service". So I called back as a BMW "owner" (I think I was going to say it's an M3 if they asked). Same date offered. There went that theory.
Bad advertisment for anybody looking to buy a BMW over say a Mercedes, Jaguar, or whatever else you wanna throw in.
I have NEVER had to wait for service with ANY new vehicle I have owned before this (and to date, that includes, in no particular order: VW's, Jeeps, Fords, Mercurys, Dodge, Chevrolet, Nissans, Mazdas, Acuras..God I've owned a lot of new cars!!!!!!!!!!!).
Shame on you BMW/Mini
Hire some friggin mechanics for God's sake!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Cooper is sounding more like an S. It's making a strange whining noise from the transmission. When I spoke with friends who had the same problem, they ended up getting new trannies- that would be more than a day's work.
And then there's that damn recalll . . .
