Join us for EUREKA, a test of driving skill and navigational precision over a long course. EUREKA will take you to the canyon roads of the Santa Clarita Valley, into the wind farms of Lancaster, and through the breathtaking vistas of the high desert.


EUREKA is a time-speed-distance (TSD) road rally. The object is to follow route instructions at assigned average speeds to arrive at secret checkpoints exactly on time (it’s not a race.) The point is to run clean and on time. Road rally is excellent training for performance rallying (like WRC) or Targa events that require a strong driver-navigator partnership. No special equipment is required to enter (other than a pen and some sort of interior lighting) and any street-legal car can compete on equal footing.


EUREKA is an SCCA Regional Course Rally, and can be counted toward the national course rally championship. It is also a part of Santa Monica Sports Car Club’s annual daytime rally championship series.
Trophies will be awarded in four equipment/experience based classes. Novices get to run in their own group.


Registration and rally start: Bank of America rear parking lot, 15300 Devonshire Street in Mission Hills (corner of Sepulveda.) Registration opens at 9 a.m., novice orientation at 9:30, first car off at 10:01. Beginners are strongly encouraged to arrive early. Entry fee is $40 per car. Bring your valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.


The rally should last approximately five hours, and will cover around 160 miles. Finish will be at La Cabana restaurant in Acton.
