Weekly Angel Crest Run...
Well I go up there almost every Saturday morning on my own. There are some fast bikers and almost no cars all the way up. Great fast twisty run. We leave between 6:15 am and 6:30am from the Shell station at the bottom of Angel Crest Highway off 210 in La Canada. Breakfast at Newcomb's Ranch and will be back down by 9am or so. If anyone is interested, please join me. I will be in DS MCS.
the runs great but 12 turns in the roads horrible. really eats up tyres, OK for runflats since they're stones to begin with.. but My yokohamas get chunked up some pretty fierce.
and the road gets worse past the rest stop. Mt wilson would be good but it's just too narrow with no mirrors around the blind corners. almost need spotters just to make the run to wilson safe...

Street racer, you are right about the road... two of My Pareda spec IIs are gone after 10k. I still like the run because you don't get much traffic at all in the morning. Great coffee and breakfast at Newcomb helps too!
Peter, Sorry I coudn't hang in Malibu last Sunday. I had to leave early. I will call you this weekend. I have no doubts that you are going to smoke the STi and I can't wait to see that. I will make sure I can go up and cheer you.

Good call on running it that early, later in the day there's more traffic and more importantly, COPS. I've been thrown to the ground and cuffed before for driving spiritedly through Angeles Crest in the middle of the day (not in my MINI thankfully). Have fun and be safe guys.
