Well,

I'm in LA for the weekend, but busy working my butt off. I found a Budget in Beverly Hills that had a CR/B S for rent, as if the S-Lites aren't heavy enough, they had them chromed.

No insult to anyone here, but this place is full of freaky people that don't know how to drive. You So. Cal. MINI folks should teach drivers ed, MINI style.

X2

Oh! One other thing, the 405 should be reclassified as a parking lot, thank godness for GPS and great canyon roads.

91 is the worst. Poor quality of cars and drivers, not to mention large, deisel belching, semis. You learn to deal with or you go crazy!

X2, it's the price we pay for sunshine every day!

BTW, you could have rented a Cooper and saved some scratch.

Woo Hoo! I just drove Topanga Canyon Blvd. What a freaking blast that was, from the Pacific Coast Highway back to Woodland Hills, sweet turns and switchbacks. I'm driving an '04 Jaguar XJ8, no where near the handling of a MINI, but it can hold it's own in sport mode. I've only seen 3 MINIs on the road here, 2 Coopers and 1 S. If not for the earthquake thing, ridiculous gun laws and the state's financial situation, I could live here.

Did that later in the day, the Jag can't hang Wish I had my MINI, on the other hand I came around a corner and there was a "Highway Patrol" car running radar, went from 65 - 45 before he could lock on, Jags have excellent brakes, with the anti dive technology, the front of the car barely dipped, which is usually a dead give away to to cop.
