Upcoming SCMM Club Events are listed in order by their dates. Many of these Events have fixed dates so we can plan many months ahead, other Event dates are subject to change. Keep watching this thread as new SCMM Club Events are added. Also watch the Regional Events Forum for the continuing monthly breakfasts and GTG's.

Southern California is a very big place. And just to get to the starting locations for many Club Events can be long distances for some SCMM members. So we often do a group drive or "Caravan" to these far flung locations - please also watch the Caravan Forum for developing threads about caravans to upcoming SCMM Events.

M.O.A.T. (Mother Of All Twisties) II

The Braille Rallye 2007

What: Non-SCMM event with Strong Club Participation
Date: Saturday, July 14th
Location: The Braille Institute - Los Angeles

While not an official SCMM club event, the annual Braille Rallye is a favorite with many SCMM members. You are assigned a young person as a navigator who must read all of the route notes in Braille. You, the driver have no idea where you are going; the challenge is for your navigator to read the instructions properly and communicate them to you. These students, like any other Califoria teenager, would like the independence of driving their own car. This cannot happen, but in any event they are more than just a passenger. As a driver, completely dependent on your navigator, you will find a team partner and a friend, and a day not easily forgotten.
