Just got my MCS Chili Red last week from BMW of Nashville/Mini of Nashville. They too say they have sent over a hundred out the door, (I was order number 107 for this dealer) but I have only seen one other mini on the street. Where are all the mid-TN mini's?

Speaking only for myself, I bought my MINI at Roadshow in Memphis, but live in Portland OR. The west coast is a dismal place to try and find a MINI...and if you find a dealer that has them in stock, they either will not sell out of state, or want at least a $3k markup. So a MINI dealer hunting I went. Paid sticker at Roadshow and they shipped it out to me. They told me they are doing ALOT of out-of-state deals. Maybe that's what's going on in Nashville, too.

I also drive a MCS Chili red/white roof/white bonnet stripes. I live in Nashville (Green Hills). I have seen one red MCS in Brentwood that's about it so far. Spotted a yellow/black roof in Lebanon...

I'm another Roadshow buyer who drove in from Dallas. I use to live in Nashville and would have liked buying my car there but the additional 4 hour drive made it easy for me to choose Roadshow.

Hope you are enjoying your MINI as I would love to be in that area of the country and take some drives up through the Blue Ridge Mountains. We've talked about coming back just so we could go over the mountain pass in Pigeon Forge.

Mini of Nashville is the closest place for me to purchase. I live in North Alabama and there is no Mini dealership in Alabama. Besides Nashville my other choices are Atlanta, Memphis or New Orleans. Maybe a lot of the ones out of Nashville are going to Alabama. I've seen a few in my area.

I live in Lewisburg, Tennessee, just south of Nashville and I will be getting my BRG with black top on saturday, Nov. 23. Looking forward to maybe meeting other MINI owners in the Middle Tennessee area. I have been driving a New Beetle Turbo for the last three years, and it has been a great car. I hope the MINI pleases me like the VW did.

I live in Franklin and expect delivery of my MCS DS/DS in Jan. Looking forward to hooking up with some of you guys.
I plan to try and swap my 17" wheels and run-flats for some 16's. Any of you guys heard whether MINI of Nashville will cooperate on a trade upon delivery?

I'm wanting to go with the 16" 5 star wheel instead of the standard 16" MCS wheels and they will not negotiate. They do say I can buy them then pay to have them mounted and balanced. Needless to say I've been checking Ebay often. This is going from 16" to 16" so I would still ask about the 17" to 16" trade. Besides that everything is good with them.

Same here with roadshow.

Colorado buyer moving to Alabama and buying the car in Tennessee makes sense (and cents)!

Plus I think I can do a little bit of funny stuff with the sales tax since I am an out of state buyer and Alabama has no MINI dealership. . .

I believe if you live in Alabama, you'll pay the tax when you register the car and buy the tag. Might pay to call and ask.

Hey B.M.,
I never noticed your post earlier, but I also bought a Mini from BMW of Nashville. I live in Clarksville. They had several to choose from and all were between 1,500 to 2,000 over MSRP. I haggled for 7 hours and drove away in an INDI Blue on 09-21-02. The car has been great. I have not seen any in Clarksville, but a couple of my high school students have noticed one other (Elec Blue). The day I bought mine, they were swamped! customers all day long with only three salespersons on the lot. That explains the long day.
