I'm sure we'll get together for dinner on Sat night. We'll probably wait until Sat at the show to figure out where and when.

Debiw
Trainman
myminicoopah
Mini03Tiger84
and Moorlockx

and yet the 10 rooms M2C2 have reserved at the Wingate are sold out. Anyone have any idea who else is coming in for this?
I will not be up until Saturday morning due to work. :( I've been slack in getting the hotel RSVP.

Trainman and I have been talking on the side about the dinner Friday night. At this time we still haven't pinned a restaurant down, but I think it would be a safe bet if the people who're staying at the Wingate plan on gathering at 6:15 in front of the hotel. That'll give us time to motor to whatever place we finally decide on.

Following Trainman's recommendation, I guess we can narrow the choices down to the Longhorn or Miyabi's. Any one have a preference between these? or any other suggestions?

Now's the time to speak your piece. Time is of the essence here, as we're down to 3 days and counting.

Well being a vegetarian, I'll have to go with Miyabi's  But as I always say--go whereever you want to go. After 13 years--I found that most places will accomodate. I've canceled my reservation at the host hotel and decided to once again do the Wingate. After buying my husband a Ducati this past weekend and still trying to restore a 65 Honda and all the car events, It'll be nice to save a few bucks--plus I am only going to be there Friday. I have to be back home in time to study for my Brokers exam on Monday

Keep up us all up-to-date.

Cheers

I can go either way. Both serve the "S" word, so I'm good to go.

So, It sounds like Miyabi's at 6:30 is the place.. We'll need a headcount so I can make reservations at Miyabi.. Right now we have a party of 5.. I'm I'm gonna send a quick e-mail out to the locals and see if I get any interest there..

Hi Guys,

Unfortunately, I am going to have to cancel out here at the last minute on Eurofest. We have too many commitments that HAVE to be done

Have fun and good luck to you all--bring home a winner for the club.

Cheers,
Debi

Eurofest pics

Here's a group of pics from the show. I think there's only one of Mini's, as I concentrated my shots on what I considered the rare and the unusual. I was fascinated by the Trident micro-car. I really wish I had gotten a picture of it when it rolled in with 2 people on board.

Let me know if you have problems with the link. Yahoo pics isn't the greatest but it's free and there's no file limits.

Good piccies Bob. Thanks for posting. I wish we had been able to go. Euro always has some interesting autos.

Too much stuff to do with our childerns for us to make it. If I had known how much trouble they were I probably wouldn't have had so many.

Just kidding!! They are all three blessings.

Hey Bob thanks for sharing those photos. That Blue Rolls Royce struck my fancy also. Overall a tremendous Mini day.

Thanks guys. Only doing my part trying to share the experience. That '34 Mercedes was my love this time around...but $400K is just a hair outside my realm of affordability! I'd have to remortgage my life a couple times to come anywhere near that!

Kendel...I should remember the guys name you're asking about, but I'm drawing a blank right now. They came up from Florida. The exhaust, I believe, is a Supertrapp.

Kendal, like I said, it was probably a dual Supertrapp system. One of the guys at the Dragon had one on his car last year when we did the exhaust shootout. While I didn't really hear the yellow one at Eurofest, I can truthfully say the one at the Dragon was extremely loud and sounded bad.

You can find out more by doing a search for "Supertrapp". There's a fair number of threads on it. Also, do a search for "exhaust shootout". That thread contains sound clips and db levels for a number of different exhausts.

Don't know what club the guy's out of. You might try a pm to LJinNC (Lee). I think he knows the guy.

Thanks for the pics Bob. Hope everyone had a great time. I wish I could of made it--it has always been one of my favorite events.

Just when I think--it's always the same cars anyways to make me feel better about not going--ah, there's the Trident. This would make a great car for going down my long driveway to pick up the paper

There were actually a fair number of cars there that I didn't see last year. Alas, some of my favorites from last year weren't there this time around. Also, this year, they didn't do the panorama picture of the field.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The yellow MCS was two guys who came up from Florida. They placed first in the MCS marquee. Maybe the organizers of Eurofest could point you in their direction.. I don't know whos exhaust it was, but it sure looked great! I figure it might have been custom made..
