Looking for Western NC drive info

My wife and I are planning a road trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway in early October (unfortunately, we'll be in a rental car and not in my MCS ). Looking for some advice and info on nice drives/things to do from the collective motoring crowd - we plan to head as far down as the Asheville area at this point. I know a little bit about the Dragon, but not much else in the area. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Please PM with suggestions.

Thanks in advance,
-noam

Roads less travellled!

Hi - I live & work in Western NC (NORTH Western NC). I'd be glad to help you find some great things to do in and around our area.

Things to do in Asheville

You could visit the Biltmore Estate in Asheville. If you have the $$ you could stay at the Grove Park Inn or the Pisgah Inn on the Blue Ridge Parkway..
Let the m2c2 know when you'll be down, we could get together for dinner and bring out the local MINIs for ya!
