Attached Thumbnails?

This may be a dumb question but here I go anyway...
I now use Firefox as my browser & one thing I noticed that didn't happen in IE is--when people would post a thumbnail in a thread & even though the area to click on was always absurdly small & hard to hit w/my pointer I could get it to work. In Firefox there is nothing to click. I can highlight & see that there is a tiny space there but nothing for me to click. I can go view the same post in IE & I am able to click the thumbnail. Is there some setting I can change in Friefox to rectify this?

Are you sure that what you are seeing is a thumbnail and not a broken image marker? Firefox often hides broken images by default while IE (and Safari) show them. To change this behavior:

Open up a new tab in Firefox and enter "about:config" (without the quotes) in the address bar.
Type "image" (again, without the quotes) in the "Filter" box
Make sure the "browser.display.show_image_placeholder" option is set to "true" (double-clicking it will toggle the value).

If its something other than this please include the URL where you are seeing it and I'll check it out.

I can open the attached thumbnail if I use IE but in Firefox I can't ever get anything to click. I see a tiny slit when I hilite it but nada will click

I did tool around a bit & found some thumbnail attachments that I can open in Firefox but many times I can't so hmmmm I dunno what it is.

See what it does for you in Firefox. I checked in "about config" & the value is set to true Thanks

I was Firefox 99% of the time (on OSX). That said when I go the post mentioned above I'm able to click on the attachment and have it reload the page showing a larger version.

I use Firefox almost exclusively for my browser on Windows. Currently on version 2.0.0.1 with no problems, and also didn't have any problem in earlier versions.

On Firefox for the post mentioned above. I get a thumbnail picture that is clickable for the full picture. On IE7, I only get a small generic jpeg icon (no thumbnail) and a text link for "TVR 84 side.jpg" along with an image size and number of views. On Firefox I only see the thumbnail with no indication of size or number of views. So, both browsers work for me but very different presentations. Pure speculation but I wonder if it might depend on the Java script or VM installed.

It could be Java. Allthough I don't understand it very much I do know that I have had different degrees of problems with it on all 3 of my computers.
