Anytime discussion starts up around a member that has been banned and starts to focus on that person the posts are removed or the thread removed. I'm happy to return the turbo discussion to circulation but the discussion of the banned member is not permitted (per our guidelines). If this is agreeable I'll return it.

Thanks
That's fine but please don't remove the pictures. They are history in the making.

This is truly getting FLAT OUT RIDICULOUS... A man is taking it upon himself to do something truly incredible with the MINI and you feel the need that just because a banned member is indirectly mentioned and pics of his car are shown that the thread and pics be removed?
Like Spillman said, it's history in a making. And it's saddening that you guys would keep the MINI community from seeing it...
"History in the making"? Now that's FLAT OUT RIDICULOUS! I expect that it's an interesting thread but let's not exaggerate it's place in the grand scheme of things.

So let me understand this correctly...now that the owner of the red turbo in question has been identified, the pictures of or discussions of his approach to turbo charging the MINI is forbiden knowledge here at NAM?

I will have to disagree with you and say this is pretty big stuff.

I'm going to have to disagree with you as well... This is no exaggeration of "it's" place in the grand scheme of things. Have you seen the fab work he's done? I'd like you to show me ONE vendor that has done something as nice as that. Not to mention, shooting for 600hp of turbo only, and 700-800 with nitrous as well. That IS history in the making.

Seems so MSFITOY, *wack* lol... I can't wait to see what is in store with his and others Turbo only setups as they are quite trick.
Once things have gotten to the point where a member gets banned, the site will no longer be used as a venue to promote them or their activities offsite. As such, discussions on those topics will be removed.

But he's not selling anything...we're just interested in his MINI and his ideas...are ideas/innovations from banned people forbiden...it's still the MINI we're interested in...not him... He could be Kim Jong Il for all I care...but if Kim Jong Il has a MINI that is worthy of the "member's" interest, then why not let the information flow freely?

true that...what ever happened to that thing called the bill of rights???
Our site guidelines clearing state that discussion of banned members is prohibited. This guideline has been in place for several years. If you want to talk about the fabrication and development of this MINI fine...but leave out the issues and commentary relative to his banning.

That's kinda hard when you guys are busting into every thread in which a hint of the banned member is mentioned... MSFITOY's small hint of "the little devil" hardly means anything to the great majority of NAM members. I mean shyt, it flew past me until I re-read it and I'm a fan of the little red car.
Now think for a minute, this HUGE mention of the banned member in 3 threads would have never happened had you not magically vanished the "turbo" thread. The post would have gone unnoticed and we would've focused on nothing but the amazing car. You guys are trying so hard to censor his name and keep mention of him out of NAM that you're doing the opposite. Now everyone is reading these threads wondering what the hell is going on and who the banned member is. Seems more harm than good done on your part, although I don't see how it's harm but apparantly you feel it is.

Freedom of Speech doesn't apply here as you sign those rights away when you register for membership per their Terms/Conditions and Site Guidelines (which you agree to abide by when registering). But I'm still apalled at the course of action taken by several mods concerning this topic.
