I recently made these up to promote MMMC. Quite a simple process in CorelDraw using the Avery 5371 Template. BTW, the MINI outline in the roundel was designed by "C".

What do you guys think?

-Cody

Edit* Can someone tell me how, or resize the image so people can see it more? Oh, and I typed in 3.5x2....but that doesn't seem right? I know the actual cards ARE 3.5x2...but my picture doesn't look right. I used Photoshop.

Bump again. It's not time to sleep people....we have spotter cards to make!

WAKE UP!

I could have used another one yesterday. Too bad I have no time to run down to Kinko's and see how much they are going to cost...

Remember that with photoshop you are bound to 72 pixels/inch. (screen)

Most printers are 300-600 dpi (pixels/inch in printer lingo). Photoshops way of dealing with this is by making the image seem bigger on the screen, through it will still print 3.5x2

When starting a new images set the dimensions to 3.5in x 2in and set the resolution/dpi/pixel-per-inch to 300

Nice.

I want to get these made....but I have no time! Ahhh!!! Hopefully I can get some made Monday if they don't cost me much. I'm seriously guessing these are going to cost a lot of money....too much to just give out to MINIs....not even knowing if they are going to come to NAM or not.

Could always buy the business card paper and print them yourself. I mean, how many MINI's do you really see that you would tag? Probably not worth buying a box of 500 when you could print them yourself. I think that's what I'm going to do anyways. Or, print one and take the paper into the local copy place and copy them at the going rate for color copies (or wait for a special)

Hrmm, good idea. I have access to a copier, but I doubt it's color.

Oh well.

I did up two this morning. They both actually print okay at the business card size and are legible! Woohoo.

I just need to find something to fill in the empty space...

Here are the ones we use for MINI5280, the Denver metro area Club. We have them made up 1,000 at a time at Office Depot for about $70.00 if I remember correctly.

We also have special ones for our upcoming event "MINIs in the Mountains" happening August 10-13.

$10 for 100 cards doesn't sound too bad. I made a new one (same picture) for 300dpi and uploaded it. It's now kind of blurry. Can anyone edit it for me to get it "crisp" so it would look good on a buisness card?

Here is the 300dpi version:

Seems to "streched" out and blurry. Sorry, that's the best I could do in photoshop. I don't think these would look good on a card.

I made two Spotter Cards, one for NAM, and one for the Hot Orange Frappr Map. I'm thinking about printing them with one on each side of the card and put the appropriate side up when I give them out.

I have printed these up in the past. I call them tag cards. I print them up myself on Avery Clean Edge Business Cards (the clean edge cards are better than the perforated edge ones because they don't look like you did em yourself ). You can get them at Office Depot or Staples for around $17 per 200 cards. You can download free business card software at the Avery website. I like doing it myself so I can change the card with my mood & also print them for others in our group plus I don't imagine I will see a hundred Minis in the next few years to tag so I just print em out at 10-15 a time

My latest tag card looks like this (sry for the poor quality but I had to save it in a dif format to post it here & that fuzzed it up a bit plus the white around the mini doesn't show cause the cards are white. well anywho you get the idea.)

Nice. I made a batch of them today, and I'm very happy with the way they came out. The quality is excellent, and the glossy heavier paper I used also helped. I only have 8 right now though. It would just be easier to buy them from that link Avery posted. Much cheaper!
