NAM Crashes Firefox?

Does anybody else have this problem? NAM crashes Firefox on my Dell running Windows XP almost every time I'm on it. I run Firefox at my office on a Mac and never have this problem. I hate to use IE, but this is getting a little old. I wonder what it is about NAM that Firefox doesn't like?

No problems here. Firefox is all I ever use. Are you running the lasted update?

That's odd because I had to switch to FireFox from IE at home so I could post here. I use IE at work, no problems.

I use Firefox at home and work and have no problems with NAM. I have been unable to install Firefox on my Win98 Laptop, but that's most likely a hardware issue.

Firefox has been crashing more for me lately (on XP), but I don't think its particularly NAM related. I think its one of my dozen or so extensions.

I do all the site development using Firefox on a Mac and then test with IE and Firefox on Windows. To date I've had no crashing problems although I've seen Firefox act strangely at times on both operating systems even on other sites. Regardless its still my preferred browser.

I'm using FireFox and have had no issues with my Mac running Tiger OS X or my Dell running XP.

Make sure your running the newest update of Firefox and that there isn't a different other problem causing your browser to crash.

I use Firefox exclusively.

Firefox runs fine with NAM for me; never had any problems. I'm running WinXP with an IBM ThinkPad T42. At home it works fine with my Mac on Firefox as well.

Yes, that means I'm checking NAM at work...but it's 8:22PM where I am and I'm still _at_ work, so I don't feel too bad about it...

I run firefox exclusively on my HP laptop with Windows XP and occasionally firefox will crash while I'm on NAM. I almost never hit the back button while on here (as I like for the "most recent posts" thing to be updated constantly) so I know that's not the problem. As far as I can remember NAM has been the only tab open at the time.

However, this hasn't happened since I've been in Seattle, so it's very possible that your (and my) internet connection are the big cause.

I had to buy a new laptop HD and reinstall my Windows XP from scratch and for some reason, my IE just misbehaves. Wrong search pages go to strange search engines...yeah I know sounds like Spyware. Strange that a newly configured PC using the Sony Recovery CD's would do this....but I installed Firefox and use it exclusively and everything works great. No issues at all.

I know there is a tweak you can add to make more attempts to open a website that will cause this problem. you sent so many request that the server cannot handle it and crash it goes.
I would have to hunt it down to tell you want it is, but i had it on mine and once it was removed it went away.

one of the many tweaks, addons or something ....:impatient
