I saw you (Mark) posted that the Reviews section was back up so I thought I would write a few. Well some products I have aren't listed so I started to add some. So if you suddenly notice several new products and reviews. Thats me

That would be great! In order for the review system to grow it really depends on members entering products (if they aren't already there) and then posting a review for those products. If more people contribute products and reviews the more information we'll have to share. Given this I would HIGHLY encourage anyone with a product they bought to contribute to the review system.

Thanks!

Mark

Under exterior where would you put this product? Maybe a new category?

In the product upload process you are presented with 5 fields for images along with browse buttons for each. The process is not expecting URLs to images but is expecting you to upload an image(s) for the product. To upload a product:

1) Go to the manufacturer or distributors site and find the image of the product. Right click on the image and save it to your desktop.

2) Start the upload product process. When prompted for images click on the browse button and select the image you saved to your desktop. Click OK to close the file dialog box. Repeat if there are other images you want to include.

3) Finish the rest of the form and click Upload/Submit. This will upload the image to our server and resize the image if necessary.

Given your previous products where uploaded with URLs and their images don't show can you send me the following information (I'll update the products with the images):

The URL of the product review on NAM
The URLs of the associated pictures that should be associated with the product

I'll pull these images down and add them to the review.

Thanks!

Mark

There are a couple of place...

- There is a link in the top banner of every page between Gallery and Store
- You can also find it in the Main Menu just under MINI Cooper Pictures

You can also access the system by going to https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/reviews

I've done more than a few....

and I love the concept. BUT most people just post a new thread that has review like stuff in it. I've got some more to add, when I have more time....

But I think the resource is very under used..... And that's too bad.

I would agree. It was my hope that by putting it in place people would find it and start contributing. That has happened to a small degree but I would like to see a lot more use of it. One thing I was considering doing was make a block that would fit in the left hand column indicating how many products and reviews were in the system. With this curiousity would be generated and the users would click through to see the system...and hopefully starting adding new products or reviews of their own. If anyone has other ideas on how to jumpstart this more I would love to hear them.

Actually no. I've already reviewed everything you've submitted. The pending image is because we don't have an image yet. If you can provide the information above I'll go back and update your products with images.

Thanks!

I seem to have alot of free time so I am adding products to the reviews section. Many of the products I own and plan to post a review soon.

Mark, I want to post up the Alta crank pulley and Alta-nator. I'm not sure if this will fit in a current category except "misc".

Let me know what categories you would recommend and I'll put them in place for these products. Thanks!

What about adding a section under 'under the bonnet' called 'other pullies'
or rename the supercharger section to 'pullies'.

I added a "Other Pulleys" category immediately under Supercharger Pulleys. Thanks!
