Hey there guys and gals. There is a rather large group of owners (like myself) who will be visiting the service departments of choice for routine maintenance. Not to mention mishaps and troublshooting etc.etc.
How about we have a separate forum to address this. Same form and function as the 'Dealer System'. I myself am choosing to drive to Irvine for maintenance. I am nervous about the quality of care at the dealer closer to my home( Brecht ).
This might be helpful for making a decision, if you happen to live inbetween two service depts.
Thanks and Motor On!!

Personally, I would prefer to see the dealer rating system modified to allow comments to be submitted with tick boxes so we could submit (and then view) reviews for each department:

[ ] sales
[ ] service

I believe Mark already has something like this on his list of future updates to MCO.

I really don't see the need for a seperate forum, given that the dealer rating system is a nice service (and getting nicer soon). Plus, if you have concerns that go beyond what the rating system feedback addresses, you can ask in the MCO regional forums (the SoCali forum in your case) where you would get more focused feedback from MINI owners in your area.

This is something that I've been considering for some time...I just haven't been able to get the time to get it implemented. I will likely create categories like Dave has mentioned and allow those viewing the reviews to see them all or have them broken out by the type of review it is (ie - sales, service, etc.). Thanks for the feedback...I hope to get this implemented sometime in the not-so-distant future.

MINI-G,

I've been visiting our local BMW service (Brecht) and so far they have done a great job. So no fear try them out Ray Rhubottom or John Coons are the service advisors to get appointment with they are OK. Check it out the review I gave them at the Dealers rating section. If still not contented with Brecht then Irvine MINI is the place to go for sure. The key is starting out good with your service advisor.

I think this is a great idea - and I think we're approaching a point where owners are finally needing to go in for scheculed service. I'm going to guess that come spring we're going to see a large increase in the scheduled service visits. I would offer that as a goal for implemetation "deadline." Of course, I'm just *offering* that in hopes that it is insightful - not trying to set your schedule for you.
