I'm sure I'm not the only Palm device user out there who gets his news from AvantGo. I know BMW has their own AvantGo channel. I would really love to see one from MINI Online! That way, I don't have to rush home to see what's new here. I can just bust out the Clie!

How about it, moderators? I don't know how difficult it is to set one up, but how many people are out there who are with me on this one?

Well...I did a quick bit of investigation and AvantGo is now charging content providers (ie - MCO) to deliver a channel. Unfortunately I think $1,000 per year is cost prohibitive...and I'm not going to sell my MCS to do it

Mark, you da man. But it took 15 minutes to find my
cell phone and the battery was dead. But I'm there...in
about an hour......

 

That stinks that they want to charge that much.....what a good idea that was though, Jason! :smile:

 

Yeah, that's too bad. Oh well, I'll have to get my daily fix right here...

 

For those interested, you can set up your AG account to access any web site. It doesn't always come out the best, but you can make the account hold up to 3 links deep. Sometimes it doesn't work like you would imagine, (AG sites are specially designed for low graphics, high text & links) Maybe in some "spare time" MCO can develope a text only site for us tech savy folks. That would be cool!
