What's the deal with (Posting Rules) anymore. Use to I would close them and they would stay that way! It now seems every time I open a new thread they expand again? What is going on, why doesn't my preferences stay the same? No problem... Just facts...

Are you asking why the site guidelines themselves have evolved overtime or why the site does or does not remember that you collapsed part of the left column?

I was referring to the (Posting Rules) column at the bottom of the page. I keep that column closed but, seems lately it opens itself backup.

Interesting. I never even noticed that "posting rules" box before.

With my browser (IE6 on XP), that posting rules box stays collapsed if I close it. The left column expands back out though if I collapsed a box and go to another page.

What browser are you using?

 

I use Safari 1.2.3 (v125.9). This is not a consistent thing, sometimes when I go to a thread it will be closed sometimes not. Maybe it defaults open to a new thread I have never been to, don't know?

I was just wandering around,saw this thread,and I had never thought of that box one way or another,closed it and went for a cruise around the forums and posts,mostly those I,ve never been to.Stayed closed all the time.
Will check what happens when I log out.

 

Went off line,came back on,that box is still closed.I don't tend to look at it so will now leave it that way.

 

Sorry I lied,well I didn't lie,but I just posted that last post,and now the box is open.Oh well,I still won't be looking at it much.
