That's exactly why we built it

okay, now this is pretty sweet! I'm prolly use it the most at work...nicely done!

[EDIT]
Love how it just kinda hangs out there, on the side, very similiar in size to AIM or Trillian (or whatever your IM prog of choice may be). Heck, I think that this gets the 'better than sliced cheese' award!
[/EDIT]

Best idea yet  This site is great. And now its even better with the sneaky pulse window. No more minumizing when someone comes into the office.

Is there any way to bookmark JUST the pulse? I wanna make it a quick-key on my keyboard. Basically, does it have a URL?

The URL to the pulse is https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/pulse.php

The only problem with calling it directly like this as opposed to the nifty java script included on the site is that it will open in a regular browser window instead of the small popup window. You can manually adjust the size if you like.

What we need is a nice little client side java applet we can run all day... any java programmers out there???

Actually what I was thinking is to deploy another URL which when run would launch a window and automatically resize itself to the proper size (like the current Pulse). More stupid Javascript tricks

SkAlex,
You now be able to bookmark the link for the Pulse (on the home page). It will launch a blank window which in turn spawns the Pulse...then the blank window is closed. I did it this way to control the treatment of the Pulse window (no address bar, standard buttons, etc.). Let me know what you think of this approach. Thanks!

I always listen but, unfortunately, the need to sleep sometimes gets in the way

Question for Mark:
Did you change it so more posts fit on one page?? It seems like there are more on each page now......if so, I like it.

I agree that this is better at work, however my boss was doing work at my computer yesterday and I forgot I had it going!! Good thing he only laughed at it.

Since I deployed the Pulse it has always displayed the last 15 posts. Its the one on the home page that still displays the last 5....for now
