Curious as to why NAM has to be different than every other forum on the internet when it comes to emoticons? Generally will get me a wink icon but instead, NAM has it setup for : w i n k : which is a little annoying when you are trying to use them. I constantly have to go back and fix them because NAM has to be different.

 

Because that's the way it was setup 10 years ago And now if we change it people who like to type because that's what they've learned from spending all their time on NAM or having NAM be their first forum experience will be upset that we're changing things. Think of it as more MINI qurikyness, we've got yo be unique right? But I've gone ahead and made it so now you should have a and a wink.

 

Definitely unique! I've been here a while and still can't get used to it just found it kind of weird.
