Hello to NAM. Question? Wasn't there a page on this site of dealer references at one time, with a place where you could add comments? I thought I remembered that but cannot find it? Did it cause too much trouble?

If you are logged into the site (which you are since you posted) the Dealer Rating System is located in the Main Menu block under the Features section. You can also go directly to it by clicking HERE. Currently there are nearly 1,400 dealer reviews listed.

I would like to see the dealer rating back up for all those who are considering getting a MINI. I found it to be reasonably accurate and the ratings matched with my experience with many MINI dealers I contacted before ordering my MCS.

Please get the Dealer rating back up and running.:smile:

 

right now the DRS link isn't up. Mark's on a camping trip, so when he gets back we'll get it up.

 

A Features Section does not exist under the main menu! Mark slow down you have been working to hard. Glad to hear you are taking some time off. You and DiD have been working too hard!

Actually, Mark was right!

(I just realized something about his instructions)

Look at the date/time on his post. 03-17-2004 06:31 PM That's from when we were on the old software and the old site. So Mark's instructions at the time were correct.

Mark still needed a vacation, but he wasn't seeing things in the post above.

 

Is there an estimate on when the dealer ratings will be available again?

I'm working on several things for the site right now. I expect that the Dealer Rating System should be back up and operational (hopefully improved as well) in the next couple of weeks. My schedule has been pretty chaotic lately so its taking some time to get everything revamped. Thanks for your patience.

I know Mark is working on it (along with personal gallery space and some other things).

 

I was thinking about this earlier today and wondered if anyone thought of a Service center rating system. We mostly list the dealer's sales department and not their service department in the old rating system, but it would be nice to know which ones are mod friendly if there are a few dealers that are within a few hundred miles of us.

Okay guys we've seen new t shirts but no dealer listing. Is it gone forever? Is was a very useful part of the forum. In fact I have sent people to NAM because they could get info on dealers, because california's premiums are too high. It would be nice to see them again.

 

The Dealer Rating System will return. I have been traveling most of the summer with my children and only returned last week. After digging out of the email pile I have a couple of activities that must be addressed before I can get the Dealer Rating System ported to the new site architecture. It will return as soon as am able to get it ported (and improved). Thanks for your patience.

Does anyone know what happened to this. The Dealer Review area? This thread talked about getting it back up 8-9 months ago....did it ever get back up? If so can anyone point me to it? Or maybe Dealers complained and it got killed?

Neither of those. It's being worked on. Unfortunately the Dealer Ratings section is a bit complicated, and it has taken a lot of work to get it functioning. Once it's fully functional it will be released.

 

At this point I think it would be better to start the dealer rating system up from scratch, if that would take less time. It doesn't seem to make sense to miss out on over a year of potential new data for the sake of resurrecting the old stuff. Every day I'm reading threads here from people who would have greatly benefited from knowing advance how bad their dealers were.
