Is it too early to start sending in photo submissions for the 2004 calendar?

If not, where can I send them?

Thanks!

I'd say it's too late. Aren't you asking about 2005??

To produce a 2005 calendar it totally depends on the sales of the current calendar. I'm hopeful that if members will buy a significant number of calendars this year that we can do something a little bigger for 2005...possibly larger format and perhaps in color. To do this we need as many members as possible to purchase a copy. In creating the calendar I wanted to insure insure that it was very high quality...something that members wanted to buy to support the site (the same with the other items we introduced). I believe this quality goal was met and now I hope that everyone will continue to purchase the calendar to make this one of the great yearly traditions of the site.

As for submissions I don't plan to introduce a contest until mid-year so be sure to keep photos that you think might be potential winners. Information on the submission process, rules, etc. will be posted when the new calendar contest is launched.

Thanks for everyone's continued support of the site.

Happy holidays!

Mark

Mark,

I have not ordered my calander yet but will. I just read your comment about "perhaps in color" and I belive this would be a mistake. Keeping your calander in black and white would set it apart from all other auto calanders. Not only being the only Mini calander that I have found, it would be the only black and white mini calander. Please keep this in mind and maybe take the money that would be spent on color and make a better black and white calander.

I say this as I have been a pro photographer for 23 years and have read every book from Ansel Adams. Keep up the great work.

Randy

Mark,

My vote is for B&W, or at most a calendar of half B&W and half color (maybe just B&W shots of the MINIs that are pure silver, Dark Silver, and Black and then color photos of the other color MINIs).
